This design was for a product local to Noosa, one of Australia’s famous beaches. After researching other craft beer label designs I decided that an illustrative style capturing something of local significance was a strong direction. I decided to use a whale since whale spotting is a common attraction to Noosa and it also represents the coastal lifestyle. I emphasised the line art by choosing a dark blue foiling embellishment for the lines. I chose a wavy typeface along with refreshing tropical colours to strengthen that connection with the coastal lifestyle and emphasise the tropical aromas of the drink. I am really proud of the final outcome of the illustration and how it works with the overall aesthetic.
